Yesterday, under sunny skies and wonderful weather, we painted our dock to preserve it and protect our investment. Thanks to the 23 people who showed up, the work went quickly. Here are some scenes (admittedly not the most flattering poses for some) of the work party as they went about their tasks. Following the work, Esther and Al Truesdale served every one a scrumptious hamburger lunch. Thanks to everyone! A special “thank you” to Gary Swank who organized the work.
“Approximately seventy hours of labor were donated to the project,” said Al Truesdale. “At $9 an hour, that amounts to a value of $6,300.”
